Scanning for Specific Services Using MBSA

There are lots of different ways to discover the services that run on a network.  The following document explains how to use Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer to determine which servers, or workstations, are running specific services on your network.  The benefit of using this approach is that it does not matter which ports the services are running on.  However, you will need to have appropriate privileges on the machines you are scanning in this way.
